A Song and a dance

Miss Copy, whatever is being said and done, is at it all day. With no breaks.

Some song is playing in the car as Maa is driving and we are in the back seat. The song has a long alaap in the beginning. After about 30 secs we go
       aaaaaaaaa aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa aaaaaaaaaaaaaa
in tune with the alaap of the song.

*********************************************************************************

Maa is wearing a long Indian skirt with loads of fabric. We are fascinated and are playing hide and seek with Maa’s skirt. To make things more exciting Maa start spinning in circles and the yards and yards of fabric spins in a giant circle with her.
We start to spin along, all the while laughing but are also perplexed as to why our white trousers are not spinning along, just the way Maa’s skirt is.

*********************************************************************************

This first step towards learning to dance taken, anytime you ask us to dance..we first run to our toy truck, press one of the button. Music to ‘old McDonald’ will play. To which we spin round and round, till the music stops. Go on in a loop. Music, spin. Music, spin. Music, spin. That is our dance for you.

*********************************************************************************

All songs were made equal, except for ‘Lakdi ke kaathi’. The smile that comes on our face when the song plays and the way we moves our head is matched by none. We heart that song, and we need not give any reasons why.

*********************************************************************************

Recently Maa started playing one song, over and over again, on her laptop. We love that song a lot too. We love to keep our head on Maa’s laptop while listening to this song, all the while moving our little butt to the music. But ‘Lakdhi ke kaathi’ remains our first love.

*********************************************************************************

Music is so much fun is it not..and we are loving dancing to it all 😀

and oye! don’t call her Miss copy. It’s like she’s trying out stuff for the heck of it, before coming up with her own. Credits mine when she composes music/becomes a dancer. I have this comment for proof *smirk*

and i smiled so much at the image of buzz wondering why her trousers aren’t spinning as much 😀

  4. Wow! what a super sweet post 😛
I can almost imagine her doing “aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa” like all kids love doing 😀 😀
and that non spinning trouser is the show stealer.
Buzz knows it well when something isn’t going just right 😉
Wait for a few more months and she’ll learn to put a finger on things that aren’t going right 😀 😀 😀
Hugs to the chweet (Cute+sweet) buzz fairy 🙂

  5. Aww… so sweet na 🙂 Lovely post!
‘spin round and round, till the music stops. Go on in a loop. Music, spin. Music, spin. Music, spin. That is our dance for you’.This so reminded me of Ammu on her 2nd b’day! We have the recording too 🙂
And ‘lakdi ki…’ is a fave here too. Both of them loved it, the very first time we sung it to them. Then my sis got it as her caller tune and the kids would call her just to listen to the song 🙂 It has been a saviour many times, to get them out of the cranky moods!

  6. So sweet post….I am reminded of my elder one, going round and round in her new skirt, some years back, totally happy at the big circle she made….its such a lovely feeling…. 🙂

Ma and daughter are totally loving music and dance….keep it going…we love such posts… 🙂

Lakdhi ke kaathi – oh, me too love this song. 🙂

  7. Ok i am going to repeat what all the 13000 people before me have said

Awwww…so cute!..and i can’t stop smiling at the alaap singing and the trousers not moving…Nice post comfy…

and to end with what i always end all buzz posts with is – Courier her no…

    p.s. sharing is caring 😛

  8. I am 81990th to say “awww” but what the heck 😛
Just y’day someone showed me the video of one year old dancing on the tunes of “jhoobi jhoobi” and I can imagine same sparkling diamonds in your eyes. 🙂

  9. How cuteeee 🙂 🙂

I’m so happy that Buzz likes dancing on the tunes of kiddo songs like ‘Lakdi ki kaathi’ 🙂
I know it is a very special feeling to see your little baby dance happily…all those jhatkas and matkas take an altogether different meaning 🙂 🙂
Know what, my son has this thing going for any kind of item number. His first favourite was Emotional Atyachar…now it is Aal izz well 😀 He might be crying one top of his voice but instantly stops to get up and dance when these songs are played 😀 😉

    Enjoy it…and yes don’t forget taking videos…lots of them!! 🙂 🙂

  10. Such sweetness..this post deserves a 6 out of 5 stars I say!

Get a nice fabric-y skirt for Buzzie too na, so that she can spin it just the way you do.

    Happy spinning..err, dancing Buzz.

    Love you lots! 🙂
